iOS title Bug Wings looks like PilotWings and Monkey Target, coming to the App Store next week
Tilt-controlled arcade adventure landing on June 2nd
UK developer DR Studios is set to release a new title for iPhone and iPad next week. It’s called Bug Wings, and it piqued our interest thanks to its resemblance to Nintendo classic PilotWings and Monkey Target, our favourite mini-game from the original Super Monkey Ball.
Tilting your iOS device controls your chosen bug as it glides through the air collecting pollen. The object is to pick up as much pollen as possible, landing gently on flowers and lilypads so as not to disturb your cargo.
Naturally, you’ll need to be careful not to fall into the pond below, though apparently showy flying will translate into bonus points.
On top of the Story mode – which features 24 levels in total – there’s a multiplayer Party mode, supporting up to four users.
It’s out on Thursday June 2nd, and will cost 59p/99c on iPhone and iPod touch, and £1.79/$2.99 for iPad owners.
