First screens of cross platform strategy game VvW: Angels of London emerge from the dark

Mecho Wars creator, Luc Bernard, has dropped Pocket Gamer a few images of his upcoming online turn based strategy title Vampires vs Werewolves: Angels of London (or just VvW: AOL if you love a bit of acronyms)

VvW: Angels of London will be released simultaneously on many platforms from PC, to iOS, and PS3 and PSP (yes, even PSP), and features the designer’s trademark stylish, a slightly nightmarish, graphics.

Call to arms

While there will be two major sides in the battle to seize control of a post-apocolyptic London, there will be a number of independent parties like Crowmen who occasionally get involved.

Also a mysterious organisation called Plague Doctors, who wear a mix of cowboy and plague doctor attire, have arrived to rid the city of these evil creatures.

Boss fights are promised, as well as a moon system that functions in a similar way to Mecho Wars’ day-night cycle. Considering Warewolves are traditionally rather restricted as to the time of month they appear, I think I’ll be picking the Vampires during the cross-platform multiplayer battles.

VvW: Angels of London is scheduled for release slightly later than first predicted, with the game now looking like a January 2011 release.

You can keep up to date with the game via its website.
